On the models of cars considered in the present manual the independent suspension bracket of hydropneumatic type of an exclusive design of Citroyon is used.

The main components of a forward suspension bracket are vertically established hydraulic rack, the lower levers and a bar of the stabilizer of cross stability. The lower levers and a bar of the stabilizer of cross stability are installed on a forward stretcher of the car. Supply of working liquid in hydraulic blocks is carried out from the main hydraulic system of the car through the proofreader of height of provision of a forward suspension bracket influencing the bar of the stabilizer of cross stability attached to the lower levers of a suspension bracket by means of racks.

Longitudinal levers, and also back hydraulic blocks (racks) supplied by working liquid from the main system through the proofreader of height of provision of a back suspension bracket are the basis for a design of a back suspension bracket.

Height of a road gleam of the car can change by switching of the control lever car established in salon. The lever by means of executive rods is connected to proofreaders of height of a lobby and back suspension bracket. On models of early years of release at switching off of the engine the car falls to the lower situation. Later models are equipped with the unilateral valve isolating a suspension bracket from the main hydraulic system that allows to avoid similar lowering of a body after an engine stop.

Hydraulic blocks are equipped with the automatic dampers replacing the screw springs and assemblies of shock-absorbers used in suspension brackets of usual type.

Some of models of a representative class are equipped with the special "hydroactive" suspension bracket allowing the driver to choose one of two modes of installation of a suspension bracket ("Normal" or "Sports"). The system has electronic control on the basis of signals of the information sensors installed on elements of a suspension bracket. "Normal" installation provides the maximum comfort at the movement of the car, automatically adapting a suspension bracket to a manner of driving of the driver and a condition of a paving. At the choice of the "Sports" mode the suspension bracket becomes more rigid that is suitable for a sports manner of driving and more at the movement on the serpentine. The steering mechanism of rack type is installed on the cross beam attached to a stretcher. The steering rack is equipped with the cardan hinge and the flexible coupling. Some of models are equipped with system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel in which working liquid moves from a path of the main hydraulic system of the car (see the Head Uniform hydraulic system).
