13.9. Removal and installation of naves of back wheels

Removal

Do not remove a nave of back wheels without need, special on that. Tightening of a nave from a pin of the back bridge will require a special stripper, and implementation of this procedure is always connected with risk of damage of stupichny bearings. At assembly the new stupichny nut with a protective cap will be required.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a back brake disk (address the Head the Brake system).

2. By means of the hammer and the big screw-driver with a flat sting accurately take off the central cap of protection of a stupichny nut (at assembly the cap is subject to replacement without fail).

3. By means of the hammer and a chisel to a raschekanta a stupichny nut.

4. By means of a face key with a long collar weaken and turn off a stupichny nut, then take a persistent washer.

At assembly the nut is subject to replacement without fail.

5. By means of a stripper pull together a nave from a pin of the back bridge assembled with an external holder of the stupichny bearing. Having removed a nave, use a stripper for removal from a pin of an internal holder of the bearing. Afterwards remove the remote plug (try to remember its adjusting situation).
6. Install holders on the bearing and check freedom of its rotation. Authors of the present manual strongly recommend to make replacement of the stupichny bearing without fail in view of high degree of probability of damage of assembly in the course of dismantle of a nave. The last means need of replacement of all stupichny assembly as bearings in an individual order are not delivered.
7. Having removed a nave, estimate degree of wear of a pin of the back bridge, check it for existence of mechanical damages, in case of need make replacement. Assembly of a pin fastens on the bridge by means of a lock ring and can be brought down by means of the hammer with soft brisk, or is removed by means of a powerful stripper. At installation of a new nave track that its vents correctly entered gearing with vents of the longitudinal lever of a suspension bracket. Landing of a pin is carried out by means of a press, or the mandrel suitable by the size and the hammer. Do not forget to replace a lock ring.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Oil a bridge pin pure motive, put on it the remote plug, having tracked correctness of its placement.
2. Put an internal holder of the new stupichny bearing on a pin, having begun to knock it the hammer through a tubular mandrel.

The mandrel has to rest only against a flat face surface of a holder.

3. Check whether the bearing is filled by lubricant and put stupichny assembly on a bridge pin. By means of a tubular mandrel put an external holder of the new bearing.
4. Establish a persistent washer, then screw a new stupichny nut, having tightened it with the required effort. Reliably fuller a nut, then put a new protective cap.
5. Establish a brake disk (address the Head the Brake system).
