6.2.2. Check and adjustment of the maximum turns of the engine

The screw of adjustment of the maximum turns is sealed up at manufacturer. It is meant that need for performance of adjustments will hardly arise. It is not necessary to skirt sealing before the termination deadlines of guarantee maintenance of the car. In case of need adjustments their performance will require a tachometer. Alternative methods are described in the Head Routine maintenance. |

1. Start the engine and warm up it up to the normal working temperature. 2. Ask the assistant to squeeze out completely the accelerator pedal, and by means of a tachometer check the maximum turns of the engine for compliance to their requirements of Specifications. Do not allow operation of the engine on the maximum turns within more than two-three seconds. 3. In case of need, kill the engine, remove a seal, weaken a lock-nut and by means of the adjusting screw (see illustrations

Adjusting points of TNVD of the Bosch system) execute correction of the maximum turns of the engine. Again strongly tighten a lock-nut. 4. For check of results of adjustment repeat the procedure described in item 2. 5. Kill the engine and disconnect a tachometer. |
