6.2.9. Check of serviceability of functioning, removal and installation of nozzles of injection of fuel

At service of nozzles it is necessary to observe extra care. Do not hold up hands or other open parts of the body under final nozzles of nozzles at all - the stream of fuel given under high pressure can injure skin. Authors of the present manual strongly recommend to entrust in general implementation of any procedures connected with check being under the pressure of nozzles to specialists of car repair shop. Try not to allow hits in TNVD, nozzles or their tubes of dirt. Do not drop a nozzle and try not to damage needles them snuffled. At production of nozzles special requirements are imposed to observance of admissions which should not be violated as a result of the inaccurate address at all. In particular, at all it is not necessary to clamp nozzles in a vice!

Check

Nozzles of injection of fuel tend to gradual destruction of internal components in the course of their operation and have to be exposed to recovery service or replacement approximately through each 100 000 km (60 000 miles) of vehicle mileage. Performance of diagnostics of a state, capital repairs and calibration of nozzles should be charged to specialists of car service. Identification of the defective nozzle allowing a detonation or smoke can be made without removal from the engine (see further).

Start the engine and leave its working with turns of bystry idling. Serially weaken nipple connections of each of nozzles, previously having wrapped up them rags. When weakening nipple knot of a defective nozzle the detonation will stop.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. On the models equipped with a turbocompressor for the purpose of ensuring access remove an air distributor casing. In case of need remove also inlet air duct and disconnect a ventilating hose from a jellied mouth of motive oil. For more details see appropriate sections of the present Chapter.

2. Carefully wipe nozzles and nipple knots of connection to them fuel tubes. Details of installation of a nozzle in a head of cylinders are presented on an accompanying illustration.

3. Disconnect returnable fuel tubes from nozzles.

4. Weaken cap nuts of fastening of nipple knots of connection of tubes to TNVD. In the course of weakening of nuts hold a reciprocal part of connection from a provorachivaniye by means of the second key. At once to a zakuporta the open ends of tubes in order to avoid hit in system of dirt (use the fingers which are cut off from an old rubber glove).

5. Turn off cap nuts and disconnect tubes from nozzles. In case of need forsunochny tubes can be completely removed. Try to remember an exact arrangement of clamps. Zakuporte open ends of nozzles.

6. By means of a deep face head or a tubular key on 27 mm turn out nozzles from a head of cylinders.

7. Remove copper sealing washers and washers of flame arresters from a head.



8. Take freely put thermoprotective couplings.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Prepare a set of new sealing washers, washers of flame arresters and thermoprotective couplings (if the last are damaged).
2. Try not to drop nozzles and not to allow damage of their working needle valves (see the prevention at the beginning of the section).
3. Begin assembly with installation in a head of cylinders of thermoprotective couplings, washers of flame arresters and copper sealing washers. Track correctness of placement of all components in a head of cylinders.
4. Accurately establish assemblies of nozzles and tighten them with the required effort.
5. Connect fuel tubes to nozzles and delay their nipple connections. Track correctness of placement of clamps in order to avoid damage of tubes in the course of functioning of the engine as a result of development of fatigue deformation.
6. Connect returnable tubes.
7. Depending on a complete set, establish into place a casing of the air distributor or the built-in cooler of a turbocompressor (Intercooler).
8. Start the engine, in case of need make removal of air traffic jams from a path of a power supply system (see Filling of a power supply system with fuel and removal from it air traffic jams).
