6.2.4. The electromagnetic locking valve - general information, removal and installation

General information

The valve is located TNVD end face. The valve serves for trim of supply of fuel at switching off of ignition. At disconnection of the valve or break of a wire of its food start of the engine becomes impossible as fuel simply will not come to nozzles. Besides to result provides jamming of a plunger of the valve in the provision "is locked". If the valve jams in situation "openly", the engine stop after switching off of ignition will not occur.

At failure of the locking valve temporary start of the engine can be made by removal of the valve (see below), extraction of a plunger from it with a spring and installations into place without internal components. The wire should be wound so that it did not adjoin to weight. To kill the engine after such start it is necessary to use the lever of a manual stop on TNVD (see the Power supply system - diesel models), or to switch off ignition on transfer.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. On the models equipped with Bosch system TNVD for the purpose of ensuring access to the valve it is necessary to otboltit a basic arm of a driving cable of turns of bystry idling from a pump wall. The description of the procedure of release of a cable from an arm is provided in the section Removal, installation and adjustment of the thermosensitive RPM meter of bystry idling.
3. At the corresponding complete set remove a rubber protective cap, then give a fixing nut of terminal connection from the top end face of the locking valve.
4. Carefully wipe it is riveted outside, then turn out it from the nest in assembly of the pump. Remove a sealing washer / ring. If a plunger with a spring remained in assembly of the pump, take them from there. For washing away of garbage from a nest of landing of the valve use a rubber pear of the pump of manual filling of a power supply system.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down. Do not forget to replace a sealing washer / ring of the valve. Track respect for the required effort of tightening.
