6.1. A power supply system - petrol models

General information and precautionary measures

The power supply system consists of the fuel tank (fixed by assembly brackets to the bottom in a back part of the car) placed in it an electric gasoline pump, the fuel filter, and also lines of giving and return of fuel. The submersible gasoline pump gives fuel to the fuel highway which is carrying out a role of the accumulative tank for four injectors established in it. The injection of fuel is made to inlet highways of cylinders. The fuel filter is switched on in the line of supply of fuel going from a gasoline pump to the fuel highway and prevents a possibility of a contamination of injectors.

The principle of functioning of various systems of injection is in detail stated in the section of System of injection of fuel - the general information.

Codes of engines see in Specifications to the Head Remont of the engine.

Many of the procedures described in the present Chapter demand removal of fuel lines and undocking of the nipple knots involving certain losses of fuel. Remember that gasoline is flying and flammable liquid in the highest measure and demands extra care in the address!

Fuel lines continue to remain under pressure during even long time after switching off of ignition. Before undocking of nipple connections of a power supply system it is necessary to dump before residual pressure in a path (see Dropping pressure in a power supply system).
