4.3.6. Dismantle of a head of cylinders

The new or restored head of cylinders can always be ordered in a workshop of car service or in warehouses service centers of the company manufacturer of the car. In view of need of use during dismantling and check of a condition of a head of some special tools, authors of the present manual consider, than to be got involved what to the amateur mechanic more simply and cheaper will be to get a replaceable head in rather difficult and labor-intensive process of recovery work.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a head of cylinders from the engine (see. The repair procedures which are not demanding extraction of the engine from the car - the petrol engines or Repair procedures which are not demanding extraction of the engine from the car - diesel engines).
2. If still made it, remove the inlet pipeline and a final collector (see appropriate section of the Head of the Power supply system and release).
3. Take from a head the camshaft and pushers with adjusting washers (see. The repair procedures which are not demanding extraction of the engine from the car - the petrol engines or Repair procedures which are not demanding extraction of the engine from the car - diesel engines).
4. On diesel engines turn out from a glow plug head (see System of preheat - diesel models) and nozzles (see the Power supply system - diesel models).

5. On all engines by means of the special tool squeeze a spring of the first of valves.

6. Take from a flute on its core crackers of the cutting lock of a plate.

7. Carefully release the tool and remove a plate, a spring and its saddle from the valve.

8. Further, by means of flat-nose pliers accurately remove a maslootrazhatelny cap from the directing plug. Working in a similar manner, take components of the remained valves.

9. If after tightening of a spring its plate does not manage to be shifted for the purpose of ensuring access to crackers of the cutting lock, slightly tap the top part of a mandrel of adaptation the hammer, - it has to help release of a plate.
10. Having pushed valves inside also take from via combustion chambers.

11. Having removed valves from the engine, put them together with the components. If degree of wear of valves is not high, and they are subject to further use, take care that at assembly each detail could be established strictly on the former place.

It is the most convenient to put valvate components in separate, appropriately marked (for example: No. 1, inlet, No. 1 final, etc.) plastic bags.
