1. Transfer the lever to situation "N" (Neutral).
2. For the purpose of ensuring access to the end of a driving cable turned to transmission remove the battery with the pallet and a basic plate (see the Head Elektrooborudovaniye of the engine). It is in addition possible to remove also inlet air duct(s) (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).
3. Having hooked the big screw-driver with a flat sting, accurately release a cable tip from the spherical hinge of the lever of the choice of transfers on transmission (hold the lever in the chosen situation [N]).
4. Make sure that the tip will be screwed on a cable core carving not less than on 5 millimeters.
5. Make sure that the selector lever, as well as the lever of the choice of transfers on transmission, are in provisions N. The tip of a cable has to be combined correctly with the spherical hinge of the lever of the choice of transfers so that not to cause removal of the last at connection. In case of need make the corresponding adjustment, rotating a cable tip in the required direction (do not forget about the condition stipulated in the previous point). If it is not possible to achieve the required result, for further adjustment weaken lock-nuts a cable cover crêpe on its basic arm (see the illustration Fastening of a Driving Cable to a spherical support of the lever of the choice of transfers on transmission). Displace nuts in the required direction, trying to obtain the correct provision of a tip. Do not forget to tighten nuts.
6. Having achieved satisfactory result, strongly record a cable tip on the spherical hinge of the lever.
7. Establish into place all components which were removed for the purpose of ensuring access.
