4.1.14. Removal and installation of the oil cooler (model of 2.0 l)

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Cock the parking brake, then a front of the car and establish to a poddomkratta it on props.
2. Empty the cooling system (address the Head Routine maintenance). Alternatively, press hoses of a cooling path directly over the oil cooler and prepare for collecting the spilled cooling liquid.
3. Get suitable drain capacity under an oil filter. By means of a special key turn off and remove an oil filter and merge from it oil in the prepared capacity. The damaged or deformed filter is subject to replacement. In view of the insignificant cost and importance of the impact exerted on efficiency of return of the engine, authors of the present manual recommend to make replacement of an oil filter every time at its removal.
4. Release fixing collars and disconnect hoses from the oil cooler.

5. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the oil cooler / an oil filter to the block of cylinders and remove assembly from the engine. Pay attention to an arrangement of the directing groove on an oil cooler flange, - it has to sit down on a reciprocal ledge on the block. The sealing ring of the oil cooler is subject to replacement without fail.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Lay a new sealing ring in a flute from the back party of the oil cooler and press assembly of the last to the regular place on the block of cylinders.
2. Track that the directing groove got on a reciprocal ledge on the block, then screw the fixing block and reliably tighten it.
3. Establish an oil filter, then lower the car on the earth and make adjustment of level of motive oil (address the Head Routine maintenance).
4. Add necessary amount of cooling liquid in the cooling system (address the Head Routine maintenance). Start the engine and check the oil cooler for existence of signs of leaks.
