3.2.24. Replacement of the fuel filter

Remember need of observance of measures of fire safety at service of components of a power supply system! |

1. The fuel filter is located under the bottom in a back part of the car and fixed by a collar on the right wall of the fuel tank. For the purpose of ensuring access to the filter cock the parking brake, then a back of the car and establish to a poddomkratta it on props. 2. Dump pressure in a power supply system (see the Power supply system - petrol models). |
3. Having released the screw, weaken a collar of fastening of the filter. |

4. Remember the adjusting direction of the arrow applied on the filter case, then release fixing collars and disconnect fuel hoses from the filter.

Collars of the spring or twisted type will be reasonable to be replaced more practical worm or screw. |
5. Remove the filter from the car. Remember that in the removed filter there is a fuel quantity that does it easily combustible at contact with naked flame.

6. Connect fuel hoses to the new filter. Track correctness of orientation of the filter an obligatory order to the relation to the direction of a stream of fuel. Strongly tighten collars of fastening of hoses on filter unions. |

7. Fill the filter in a fixing collar and strongly tighten the coupling screw of the last. |

8. Start the engine and check the filter for existence of signs of leaks. Lower the car on the earth. |
