3.2. Routine maintenance of the car - petrol models
Schedule of routine maintenance
The intervals of routine maintenance of the car offered in the present section are calculated on independent implementation of all procedures by the owner of the vehicle. Duration of intervals was defined proceeding from a condition of daily operation of the car. Constantly to support the vehicle in dive of a form, some of procedures for desire of the owner can be carried out in more intensive mode. Authors of the present manual are sure that receiving from the power unit of the car and its other knots and systems of the maximum return can achieve only on condition of a conscientious attitude of the owner to care of the vehicle. It is worth to remember as well about maintenance of a trade dress of the car on a case of its resale.
At operation of the car in the conditions of strongly dusty area, frequent towage of the trailer or continuous movement in an intense city cycle, intervals of performing procedures of routine maintenance have to be whenever possible reduced to a minimum.
Servicing of the new vehicle has to be made in the conditions of a workshop service center of the trade mission of the company manufacturer of the car in order to avoid violation of factory guarantee certificates.
Through each 400 km (250 miles) of a run or once a week

Through each 15 000 km (9000 miles) of a run or times in 12 months (that will come earlier)
• You make replacement of motive oil and an oil filter (see Replacement of motive oil and an oil filter).
• Check all components and hoses located in a motive compartment for existence of traces of leaks (see Check of a condition of hoses, and identification of sources of leaks).
• You make check/adjustment of height of a pedal of coupling (see coupling adjustment Check).
• Check the ATF level, in case of need you make the corresponding adjustment (see Check of the ATF level).
• Check a state and reliability of fastening of components of a suspension bracket and the steering drive (see the Suspension bracket and the drive of steering).
• Check a condition of rubber protective covers of power shafts (see Check of a condition of protective covers of power shafts).
• You make data read-out, brought in memory of the block of self-diagnostics (see Reading of memory of the block of self-diagnostics).
• On the models equipped To/in you make replacement of the dust removal filter (see Replacement of the dust removal filter (model with To/in)).
Through each 30 000 km (18 000 miles) of a run
In addition to the checks listed in the previous subsection:
• At the corresponding complete set check a condition of coolant of the air conditioning system (see Check of a condition of coolant of the air conditioning system).
• You make replacement of spark plugs (see Replacement of spark plugs).
• Check system of ignition (see Check of a condition of system of ignition).
• Check adjustment of turns and quality of mix of idling (see Check and adjustment of turns and quality of mix of idling).
• Check a condition of components and connecting hoses of system of decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases (see Check of serviceability of functioning of systems of decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases).
• Check a condition of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units, in case of need you make its replacement (see Check of a state and replacement of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units).
• Grease the mechanism of control of the coupling drive (see Greasing of the mechanism of the drive of switching off of coupling).

• You make trial runs of the car (see. Trial runs).
Through each 45 000 km (27 000 miles) of a run
In addition to the checks listed in the previous subsection:
• You make ATF replacement (see Replacement of the AT transmission liquid).
Through each 60 000 km (36 000 miles) of a run
In addition to the checks listed in the previous subsection:

• Check the level of the RKPP gearbox oil, in case of need you make adjustment (see Check of level of gearbox oil (model with RKPP)).

• You make replacement of hydraulic LHM liquid and returnable filters (see Replacement of hydraulic LHM liquid and the returnable filter).
• You make check of a state and, in case of need, replacement of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units on models with manual adjustment of a tension of a belt (see Check of a state and replacement of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units).
• Check a condition of supports, disks and hydraulic hoses of brake mechanisms (see Check of a condition of brake supports, disks and hydraulic hoses).
• You make replacement of a belt of the GRM drive (see Replacement of a belt of the GRM drive).

In spite of the fact that according to the schedule of routine maintenance replacement of a gas-distributing belt should be made through each 120 000 km (72 000 miles) of a run, authors of the present manual recommend to cut this interval by half for the cars operated in the conditions of the increased intensity. Remember that the damages of the engine connected with a belt exit out of operation in operating time can lead to incommensurably big expenses! |

General information
This Chapter was formed with the purpose to help the owner of the car to support the vehicle in a condition of the maximum readiness for operation, receiving from it effective return with observance of requirements to profitability and safety.
At the beginning of the Head the schedule of routine maintenance of the car is provided. Below the sections devoted to a detailed statement of an order of performance of each of procedures of service separately are offered. Material of sections included descriptions of visual checks, adjustments, procedures of removal and installation of components, and also various useful tips and recommendations. The illustrations given above with the image of types of a motive compartment, suspension brackets and steering will help the reader to deal with placement on the car of the components which are subject to service.
Serving the car according to the kilometrazhno-time schedule, and following the detailed recommendations given below, the reader will receive the accurate action program capable to provide long duration and reliability of service of his vehicle. Remember that this program is made on a complex basis and implementation only of its separate points with neglect others will not result in desirable result.
In process of performance of service of the car the reader will soon be convinced that many procedures can, and have to be united in the general groups in view of similarity of the nature or proximity of an arrangement of components. For example, if the car for any reason is lifted above the ground, it is necessary to take an opportunity and at the same time to check a condition of components of system of production of the fulfilled gases, a suspension bracket and steering.
The first step in service of the vehicle is always self-training of the contractor. Attentively get acquainted with material of the present Chapter, then make the list of the components needing attention, prepare the necessary tool and outline the short plan of the forthcoming works.
