7.1.3. Removal and installation of the rechargeable battery

The negative wire always has to be disconnected from the battery first of all, and be connected in the last!


If the car is completed with the audio system of a company complete set Citroyon before disconnecting the battery, make sure that you have the code necessary for shutdown of the lock of security system.

Removal

The battery is located in the left part of a motive compartment.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Release coupling bolts and remove a terminal clip from a negative pole of the battery.
2. Lift a protective cover (if that is provided) and disconnect a positive wire from the battery.

3. Turn out a bolt, take aside a clamping plate.

4. Remove the battery from the pallet and take it from a motive compartment. Turn out fixing bolts, release clamps of fastening of an electrical wiring and remove the battery pallet.
5. In case of need give fixing bolts and remove an assembly plate from the top part of the left support of the power unit.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down. At connection of wires to poles of the battery grease terminal knots with acid-free vaseline for the purpose of prevention of development of corrosion.



Always connect a negative wire in the last turn!
