5.7. Removal and installation of a casing of the thermostat / fuel filter (diesel models)
Removal

New sealing laying will be required. |
|
|
|
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Empty the cooling system (address the Head Routine maintenance).
3. Remove the fuel filter (address the Head Routine maintenance).
|
|
Cover with polyethylene a dome of transmission and a starter in order to avoid hit on them the spilled fuel. |
4. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensors of the cooling system screwed from above in a thermostat casing.
5. Disconnect hoses of a cooling path from a plastic casing of the thermostat.
6. Disconnect a hose of a cooling path from a branch pipe on the back party of a casing.

7. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a plastic casing of the fuel filter to the main casing of the thermostat. |
|
|
8. Take a plastic casing and remove a sealing ring from its basis. |
|
|
9. Turn out three fixing bolts and remove the main casing from a head of cylinders. Remove sealing laying. |
|
|
10. Disconnect a hose from the basis of a casing and take the last from a motive compartment. |

|
Installation
Installation is made upside-down. Pay attention to the next moments:
a) Check a condition of the sealing ring established on the basis of a plastic casing, in case of need make replacement;
b) Do not forget to change laying at installation of the main casing;
c) Track correctness of laying and reliability of fastening of all hoses;
d) You make gas station of the cooling system according to the instructions provided in the Head
Routine maintenance;
e) In conclusion do not forget to fill a power supply system (see the Head
of the Power supply system and release).
