1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Empty the cooling system (address the Head Routine maintenance).
3. Where it is required release hoses and plaits of an electrical wiring from clamps and shift them aside, having provided easy access to a thermostat casing. On some models it makes sense to remove also an air cleaner sleeve (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).

4. Turn out fixing bolts and accurately uncover a thermostat casing. Try not to stretch the cooling system hoses connected to a cover.

5. Take the thermostat from a casing. Do not forget to remove also sealing ring (and).

1. Rough check of serviceability of functioning of the thermostat can be made by its podvyazyvaniye to a wire and lowerings in the container with water. In process of heating, when boiling water the thermostat has to open, otherwise it is necessary to make its replacement.
2. If the suitable thermometer is available, it is possible to determine the exact temperature of opening of the thermostat. Compare result of check to data of marking on the assembly case.
3. The thermostat which is not closed when cooling water is also subject to replacement.
