4.2.7. Removal and installation of cogwheels of a belt of the GRM drive
Camshaft cogwheel
Removal
|
1. Uncover a gas-distributing belt (see Removal and installation of covers of a gas-distributing belt). |
2. Now it is necessary to weaken a bolt of fastening of a cogwheel (finally it is not necessary to turn out a bolt at this stage), what it is necessary to take measures of a provorachivaniye of the last for. Blocking can be made in two ways: a) Manufacture of two metal strips and three bolts the bifurcate lock, similar represented on an illustration, tighten it to a cogwheel and hold the last from a provorachivaniye for the acting end of a long strip; |

b) Uncover a head of cylinders (see Removal and installation of a cover of a head of cylinders) and block the camshaft from a provorachivaniye by means of the rozhkovy key dressed on special lysk between the third and fourth cams of the drive of valves. |

3. Achieve combination of blocking drillings / openings (see Fixing cranked / distributive shaft and TNVD for the purpose of prevention of casual hit of valves in contact with pistons in the course of performing procedures of service of the car) and record cogwheels of the camshaft and TNVD, and also a flywheel. You do not make attempts of a provorachivaniye of the engine after introduction of the blocking cores at all. 4. Weaken an axial nut and an adjusting bolt of a natyazhitel and develop an arm of the last counterclockwise, having weakened thereby a tension of a gas-distributing belt. Having tightened an adjusting bolt, record a natyazhitel in new situation. In case of need use the 10-millimeter drive which can be inserted into a special square opening in an arm for deployment of a natyazhitel. 5. Finally turn out a bolt of fastening of a cogwheel of the camshaft and take it together with a washer. 6. Turn out the blocking bolt from a cogwheel. |
7. Accurately remove a cogwheel from a shaft pin. Take a segment spline from a pin if the last is put in the groove freely. Remove a spline to the reliable place. Attentively examine an epiploon, checking it for existence of signs of development of leak of oil, in case of need make replacement (see Replacement of epiploons).

Installation
|
1. If removed, fill a segment spline in a groove in a camshaft pin, then put a cogwheel on a pin. As the pin has conicity, the cogwheel can is put on a shaft by the only way (the central stupichny ledge outside). 2. Screw a fixing bolt (do not forget about a washer) and tighten it with the required effort, holding a shaft/wheel from a provorachivaniye one of the ways described above in the subsection "Removal", item 2. 3. If removed, establish into place a cover of a head of cylinders (see Removal and installation of a cover of a head of cylinders). 4. Achieve combination of blocking drilling in a camshaft cogwheel with a reciprocal opening in a forward plate of the engine. Pass the 8-millimeter blocking bolt throughout openings. 5. Throw with a gas-distributing belt cogwheels of TNVD and the camshaft, then make a tape tension (see a GRM drive Belt - the general information, removal, check of a state and installation). 6. Establish to the place of a cover of a gas-distributing belt (see Removal and installation of covers of a gas-distributing belt). |

Cogwheel of a bent shaft
Removal
|
1. Remove a pulley of a bent shaft (see Removal and installation of a pulley of a bent shaft). 2. Perform the procedures described above in the subsection "Camshaft Cogwheel — Removal", subitems 1, 3 and 4. |
3. Throw off a gas-distributing belt from a cogwheel of a bent shaft, then remove a wheel from a shaft pin. |

4. Take a segment spline from a pin if she is put in the groove freely. Remove a spline to the reliable place. |
|
5. Check a forward epiploon of a bent shaft for existence of signs of leak of oil, in case of need make replacement (see Replacement of epiploons).

Installation
TNVD cogwheel
Removal
|
1. Perform the procedures described above in the subsection "Camshaft Cogwheel — Removal", subitems 1, 3 and 4. 2. Mark the provision of a gas-distributing belt concerning TNVD cogwheel. 3. Take a 8-millimeter bolt blocking TNVD cogwheel in the provision of VMT (see Fixing cranked / distributive shaft and TNVD for the purpose of prevention of casual hit of valves in contact with pistons in the course of performing procedures of service of the car). |
4. Not some models the cogwheel is equipped with the built-in stripper in the form of a metal level, pribolchenny to its end face. On a level not dropping out nut (a nut of fastening of a cogwheel) which wells up on a pin of a shaft of the fuel pump (TNVD) is fixed. If the built-in stripper is not provided, it can be made of a suitable metal level of small length and couple of bolts of M7 rolled in the special openings provided in a cogwheel (see an illustration). |

5. Record a cogwheel against a provorachivaniye by means of the self-made bifurcate lock. |

6. On the models equipped with the built-in stripper of a cogwheel begin to turn off a fixing nut until the wheel does not descend from a conical pin of a shaft of TNVD. Having removed a wheel, check landing density in the groove of a segment spline, in case of need take it and remove to the reliable place. At desire the built-in stripper can be removed from a cogwheel by a reversing of two fixing screws (do not forget to remove washers). |
7. If the built-in stripper on a cogwheel is not provided, partially turn off a nut of fastening of a wheel, then establish on the last a self-made stripper and tighten two of its bolts, resting a level against a fixing nut. Continue to tighten bolts until the wheel does not descend from a conical pin of a shaft. Remove a wheel, then check landing durability in the groove of a segment spline, in case of need take it and remove to the reliable place. Remove a stripper.

Cogwheel of the water pump
The wheel represents uniform assembly with the pump and is not subject to removal.
