2.1. Car equipment, arrangement of devices and governing bodies

Keys, remote control of door locks

General information

The key allows to make direct unlocking / locking of doors, including a door of a back and a door of the hatch of a jellied mouth of the fuel tank, an unblocking of a steering column, inclusion of ignition and start of the engine a starter.

The key which is built in in the remote control (DU) of the uniform lock allows to make everything the operations on unlocking/locking of doors listed here, involving only the lock of a forward door. If one of forward doors is open, blocking does not happen.

Precautionary measures

Leaving the car, densely close all windows, do not leave any objects on a look. Take a key from the ignition lock, block a steering column and door locks.

The remote control with the built-in key

The remote control represents the pulse source of high-frequency radiation having certain advantages over the similar devices operating in long-wave range. So, there is no need for aiming of a radiator of the panel at the receiver located in the car; the signal radiated by the panel easily gets through barriers (metal, baggage); the device has rather big radius of action.

Be attentive, you remember that even casual operation of the panel which is in a pocket can lead to an unblocking of locks.

Uniform lock

The DU panel allows to make remote unlocking / locking of all doors of the car, including a door a back/cover of the luggage compartment, and also a door of the hatch of a jellied mouth of the fuel tank.

To unblock locks, press the button A on a panel sidewall. The unblocking of locks is made by means of the button B. In case of refusal press systems the corresponding button of the panel repeatedly.

Reception by the receiver of teams installed in the car from the DU panel is confirmed by operation of indexes of turns. So, when blocking locks indexes light up for 2 seconds; unlocking of doors is confirmed by a bystry blinking of indexes.

Replacement of batteries of the remote control

The blinking of the indicator which is built in in the DU panel at a nazhimaniye on buttons of management, testifies to need of performance of replacement of a battery.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Turn out the screw, uncover the case and take a battery from the panel. As a replaceable element it is necessary to use CR 1620 batteries with tension 3B.

2. After replacement of a battery check serviceability of functioning of the panel for what include ignition and press the button on the control panel. The pulse signal radiated by the DU panel allows to make unlocking/locking of doors of the car at distance. Be attentive, you remember that even casual operation of the panel which is in a pocket can lead to an unblocking of locks.

The key allows to make unlocking/locking of locks of doors, a ware box and door of the hatch of a jellied mouth of the fuel tank, an unblocking of a steering column, and also inclusion of ignition and start of the engine a starter.

The system of the pulse repeater carries out blocking of ECU system of injection of fuel.

The system joins automatically, at extraction of a key from the ignition lock.

Start of the engine can be carried out only by means of a key from a basic equipment of the car.

After introduction of a key to the ignition lock, the sensor, the system of blocking of injection makes recognition by the developed signal sensor which is built in in a key.

If the signal is not identified, start of the engine will remain impossible.

Blocking of locks by means of a key

The key allows to make unlocking/locking of all doors of the car, involving the lock of only one of forward doors. If any of forward doors remains open, blocking does not happen.

Code card

In a set the confidential code map is surely attached to a set of keys.

The hidden code, the service center of the Citroyon company allowing experts company to be engaged in service and the maintenance of system of the pulse repeater is plotted.

At sale of the car do not forget to transfer the code map to the new owner.

You store the map in the reliable place, never leave it in the car.

With loss of the map of a guarantee for service of system of the pulse repeater are lost.

Accurately rewrite numbers of keys and the remote control in the notebook. At loss of keys experts service center of the Citroyon company will be able to pick up a new set for these numbers.

Entering of any changes into a design of system of locks has to be made with direct participation of experts the Citroyon service center.

You do not make any changes at all to an electric chain of system of the pulse repeater as it can lead to irreversible blocking of start of the engine.

1. To open the lock of one of doors, enter a key up to the end into a keyhole and turn it, or use the remote control.

2. Raise the handle and pull a door on yourself.

If forward doors of the car are closed, then, at an utaplivaniye of the button of switching off of the lock of any of them there will be an automatic blocking also of all other doors. Buttons of switching off of locks of back doors block only the door.

The device of blocking of back doors against their unlocking from within children

The device does not allow to make unlocking of a door from interior of the car. Insert a key into a red keyhole and turn it. This device operates irrespective of system of the uniform lock.

Back door (Hatchback)

Unlocking of a door of a back can be made by means of the DU panel of system of the uniform lock.

Press the button and lift a door. For closing lower a door, using the handle located at the left on inside and let's it slam.

Unblocking of the lock happens automatically at operation of the uniform lock.

For opening of a door of a back wring out the handle A up. Lift a door.

To close a door, delay the handle located from the inside on the right then slam a door.

Cowl

For an otpuskaniye of a latch of the lock of a cowl pull on yourself the lever located under the dashboard to the left of a steering column (model with left-side steering), then bypass the car in front and wring out the handle A which is under a cowl side in its central part up then lift a cover of a cowl and prop up it a special emphasis.

For closing of a cowl remove an emphasis, you priopustit a cover, then release, having allowed it to slam. Make sure of reliability of fixing of a cover a lock latch.

Filling of the car with fuel

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For unlocking/locking of a door of the hatch of a jellied mouth of the fuel tank, insert a key into its lock and turn it on a quarter of a turn. At the corresponding complete set the door of the hatch can be unlocked/is locked also by means of the DU panel.

2. To open the unlocked door of the hatch of a jellied mouth, press on its first line.

3. For the period of gas station uncovered a mouth it can be fixed in a special arm from the inside of a hatch door.


For gas station of the models equipped with the catalytic converter use only unleaded gasoline!

The Citroyon company tries to achieve from the engines installed on the cars, not only maximum efficiency of return and economy of fuel consumption, but also durability, convenience in operation and minimization of harmful effects on the environment.

These listed parameters directly depend on quality of the used fuel. Use of fuel of the corresponding type allows to achieve the best dynamic characteristics of the car. Authors of the present manual recommend to use for gas station of petrol models fuel with octane number not below AI 98. The volume of the fuel tank makes 65 l.

Catalytic converter

The catalytic converter is among in the highest measure of the equipment, sensitive to external and internal influences. Try to adhere to the recommendations given below at operation of the models equipped with the catalytic converter!

- Use only unleaded fuel for gas station of the petrol models equipped with the catalytic converter. The lead which is present at ethylated fuel destroys the catalyst and can cause other serious damages.

- Do not add any additives which use is not approved by the Citroyon company to fuel.

- Violation of serviceability of functioning of the engine can lead to an exit of the catalytic converter out of operation therefore:
   a) Observe frequency of technical inspections;
   b) At emergence of difficulties with start of the cold engine, address for consultation specialists of car service;
   c) At violation of stability of turns of the engine reduce the frequency of its rotation and at the first opportunity address specialists of car service;
   d) You do not make start of the engine by towage or pushing of the car: hit in the catalytic converter of not burned down fuel can lead to a device exit out of operation as a result of its overheat at ignition of fuel after start of the engine;
   e) For the same reason do not continue operation of the car at emergence of admissions of ignition;
   f) You make switching off of ignition only after turns of the engine are dumped;
   g) Avoid long parking with the working engine;
   h) Do not carry out the parking of the car on the platforms covered with easily flammable materials (lawns with a dry grass or fallen leaves, etc.).

Adjustment of height of provision of a first line of a pillow of a seat is made at way of lifting/lowering of the left end of the handle of management (1) to correct height of provision of the rear edge of a pillow displace in the corresponding direction the right end of the handle (see an illustration). The translation of the handle (1) carries out the shift of assembly of a seat in the longitudinal direction to the right-to the left (see in the same place).

Adjustment of an inclination of a seatback is carried out by turn in the relevant party of the handle (2) (see in the same place).

The handle (3) (see in the same place) is used for adjustment of ergonomic parameters of a seatback taking into account specific features of a structure of a body of the person sitting in it. Shift in the corresponding direction of the top end of the handle carries out correction of an emphasis of scapular department of a back of sitting. The lower end of the handle is used for control of a lumbar emphasis of a back.

On outer side of a driver's seat also keyboard switches of adjustment of the general inclination of assembly of a chair are provided (see an illustration below). Adjustment of height of provision of a first line of a seat is carried out by means of a key (A), back - a key (B).

Heating of seats

At the corresponding complete set of the car the possibility of heating of front seats is provided in an individual order. The control panel of heating of seats with two roller regulators is located on the central console (see in the same place).

Zero position of the roller regulator corresponds to the switched-off condition of a heater of a seat. At transfer of the regulator to situation (1) easy heating joins, situation (2) corresponds to average intensity of heating and, at last, transfer of the regulator to situation (3) carries out inclusion of heating of the corresponding seat at full capacity.

Temperature of heating of seats is regulated automatically.

Manual adjustment of provision of front seats

The order of manual adjustment of a driver's seat is presented on an illustration.

Adjustment of a passenger seat is carried out in a similar manner, with that difference that the lever of adjustment of height of provision of a first line of a passenger seat is located ahead under a chair pillow, from its outer side.

Position of the driver

The order of adjustment of provision of a seat is stated in the previous paragraphs.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Adjust the provision of a seat so that there was a possibility of free squeezing against the stop of a coupling pedal. During the movement the right leg of the driver has to be on the accelerator pedal, and left - on a foot emphasis coupling pedals are more left. The hip and a back have to be supported by a seat.

2. Adjust a seatback inclination so that it conveniently supported a back on all its surface. Remember that efficiency of functioning of seat belts decreases with increase in an inclination of a back.

3. The greatest efficiency of functioning of a head restraint is reached when its top is located on the minimum removal from the top of sitting.

4. The description of the procedure of adjustment of provision of a steering column is provided in the section Methods of operation, see the subsection Adjustment of Situation of a steering column.

5. During the movement of a hand of the driver, keeping a steering wheel in provisions on 9 and for 3 hours, have to be slightly bent. At such position of hands the driver keeps a possibility of the review of all control devices.

Safety cushions

General information and principle of functioning

Safety cushions are intended for additional protection of the driver and the forward passenger at head-on collision of the car (and at the corresponding complete set also at side blows or a turning of the vehicle).

At excess by a frontal overload of a certain value the pillow instantly (for fractions of a second) fills space between the driver and a steering wheel, or between the passenger and the dashboard, limiting their longitudinal movement and reducing thereby risk of receiving the most dangerous injuries of the head and breast. Side safety cushions (if those are provided) fill space between the driver/passenger and the corresponding door of the car at side blow from this board.

The design of forward safety cushions provided protection them from operation at insignificant frontal overloads, blows behind, or sideways.

At strong head-on collision when the overload exceeds some value put in memory of system, there is an operation of a gas generator and the pillow is instantly filled with the products developed by it, stopping movements of a body of the driver / the forward passenger in the longitudinal direction, then almost at once is blown off, freeing the driver the sector of the review. At contact with a human face fabric of a pillow can leave on graze skin.

Pillows are among disposable devices and for reuse are not intended. After gas deflation from a pillow its operation at repeated blow during the same incident becomes impossible.

Directional patterns of overloads at which there is an operation of safety cushions

The control sensor of the directed overloads providing operation of a gas generator at emergence of overloads of a certain orientation (see an illustration) and exceeding a certain value is a part of the device.

The driver's safety cushion is built in in the central part of a steering wheel. The module of a passenger pillow it is placed the dashboard opposite to the right seat. Operation of both forward safety cushions happens at the same time. Modules of side safety cushions (at the corresponding complete set) are built in in backs of front seats from their outer side, equipped with individual sensors of the directed overloads and work only at side blows (everyone from the corresponding board of the car) (see in the same place).

In an instrument guard the control lamp of forward safety cushions which has to quickly (approximately for 6 seconds) is built in to light up at each inclusion of ignition. After the mentioned 6 seconds the lamp has to go out. At emergence in system of safety cushions of malfunctions the control lamp at first blinks within 5 minutes, then continues to burn continuously. In case of refusal operations of a control lamp at inclusion of ignition address for consultations specialists of car service.

If the car is equipped with side safety cushions, one more control lamp functioning also in the manner stated above is added to an instrument guard.

Precautionary measures which have to be observed on the models equipped with forward safety cushions:

- Remember that safety cushions are not a panacea from any incidents. Do not forget to be fastened by seat belts.
- Do not paste to the central part of a steering wheel any foreign objects in order to avoid receiving wounds of a face at emission of a pillow.
- Between a body of the passenger and a safety cushion there should be no foreign objects.
- You do not hold a wheel for spokes or for the central part.
- Do not leave on the forward panel of objects which could provoke operation of a pillow or wound the passenger at its emission.
- You watch that the forward passenger during the movement did not put a leg on the dashboard.
- Remember that children are younger than 10 years have to be on a back seat.
- Never establish a children's seat on the place of the forward passenger if the car is equipped with the passenger airbag.

Precautionary measures which have to be observed on the models equipped with side safety cushions:

- Do not forget to be fastened by seat belts.
- Do not paste and do not fasten any foreign objects to backs of front seats, - it is fraught with injuries of a thorax or hand at operation of a pillow.
- Between a body of the passenger and a safety cushion there should be no foreign objects.
- Do not put on covers since they prevent the correct emission of a safety cushion seats.
- The driver and the passenger have to get used to accept vertical position in a chair and to try not to lean against the door panel.

Operation of safety cushions is followed by emergence of light harmless smoke and noise, caused by explosion of the pyrotechnic boss! Besides, the blow can become the emergence reason in salon of the dust constituting danger to people, having diseases of the top airways. Leave the car right after collision, having convinced that you are able to do it, without being endangered. If it was not succeeded to be chosen, open windows or doors, having provided access of fresh air.


The noise accompanying explosion of the pyro is capable to cause temporary deterioration in hearing!


Even at observance of all precautionary measures the risk of injury of a thorax or hand is not excluded by a side safety cushion.


Safety cushions are among disposable devices and at operation fail is irreversible. Installation of replaceable modules has to be made by specialists of car service.

Seat belts

Natyazhiteli and locks effort belts/limiters

During blow provide to Natyazhiteli at operation a dense clip of a body of the fastened driver/passenger to a seatback that in an essential measure increases efficiency of action of a seat belt.

Operation of natyazhitel of a belt is followed by cotton of the pyro and allocation of a small amount of harmless smoke.

Working along with a natyazhitel, the lock carries out a belt clip at its sharp pulling. As a result the belt is extended only at insignificant length, limiting inertial advance of a body forward during blow.

If the car is equipped with forward safety cushions, the system of blocking of belts is replaced with system of restriction of efforts which allows to increase efficiency of protection of the driver / the forward passenger at head-on collision, limiting the belt pressure upon a body.

The control lamp on an instrument guard signals about need of fastening of a driver's seat belt before a start of motion (at the included ignition).

Pyrotechnic devices of belts and safety cushions are disposable and are calculated on 10-year service life (from the date of release of the car). After single operation the module натяжителя / pillows is subject to replacement which has to be made only by forces of specialists of car service.

For safety any service of systems of additional safety to be made only by experts. Any attempts of independent repair or improvement of devices without observance of necessary precautionary measures it is connected with risk of an irreversible exit of knot out of operation, or unauthorized (and injury-causing) operations of the module.

Front seats of the car are equipped with the twisted seat belts with individual inertial returnable devices.

The design of the top anchor knot allows to regulate height of fastening of humeral section of the last. The lower anchor knot and an anchor of a stalk of the lock fasten permanently.

Side seat belts of back seats are also equipped with inertial returnable devices and the top anchor knots regulated on situation height. The single-section (lumbar) central seat belt of a back seat is not equipped with the returnable device and on a design is static.

All passengers and the driver are obliged to fasten seat belts. Maximum efficiency of protection can achieve only on condition of correctness of laying of a belt:

1. The belt has to put on so that its humeral section diagonalno passed through a thorax and the driver/passenger's shoulder. Do not lay a belt through a neck at all and do not pass it an armpit.

2. Take a belt for a buckle and smoothly pull it through yourself. Track that the tape of a belt was not overwound.

3. Insert a buckle into the fixing lock and press that it was not latched.

4. The lumbar section of a belt has to pass as low as possible and densely cover upper thighs of sitting. That the body did not slip under a belt during blow, it is necessary not to allow strong tilting of a seatback during the movement.

You do not make adjustment height of fastening of a seat belt during the movement, you watch that under a belt the firm and sharp objects which are in pockets did not get. Do not use the same belt more than for one person. You do not hold the child on a lap.

Regularly check a state and purity of tapes of belts. Periodically you carry out an inspection of a condition of belts with involvement of specialists of car service.

Means of children's safety

It is necessary to remember that children on a constitution are not the reduced copy of adults: up to 7-8 years weight ratios of parts of a body strongly differ from characteristic of adult parameters. At strong breakthrough during collision the considerable relative mass of the head and comparative weakness of muscles can cause serious injuries of a backbone.

Only since age of 10 years or on reaching height of 1.35 m transportation of children without application of special means with use of only one seat belts is allowed.

In many countries there is a classification of security aids for transportation of the child in the car according to its weight.

The vast majority of experts recommend the following scheme of use of special devices of children's safety:
   a) The cradle with network which has to fasten on a back seat across a pillow and allows to soften force of both front, and back blow is suitable for transportation of babies;
   b) In transit the child from several months to 4 years use of a special seat cockleshell which is, whenever possible, also best of all to have on a back seat of the car is recommended;
   c) For children from 4 to 7/8 years the closed chair established face forward equipped with a buckle, the car seat belt allowing to use is offered;
   d) For children up to 10 years the seats supplied with a buckle for fastening of a seat belt are provided.

At all installation of a children's seat on forward chairs of the car equipped with the passenger airbag is not allowed! Do not try to adjust ergonomics of a regular automobile seat to the child's constitution at the expense of a podkladyvaniye of sofa or inflatable pillows! Use only of such means which are specially developed for application in the motor transport is allowed.

Use only the certified production allowing to provide maximum efficiency of protection.

The law allows to transport children on front seats only on condition of implementation of the following requirements:
   a) The design of a children's seat has to provide a possibility of installation with his back forward. The car at the same time should not be equipped with a passenger pillow (Amy) of safety;
   b) When the back seat is put and the possibility of installation on it a children's seat is absent (a desperate situation);
   c) When the number of the transported children exceeds the containing possibilities of a back seat.

1. Before moving a seat, in order to avoid damage or jamming of seat belts, accurately put away them in the pockets which are specially provided for this purpose on both sides of a seat. Record buckles of belts in locks.

2. Raise a seat pillow, push it forward, at the same time lifting the rear edge up.

At return of a pillow to a starting position track that seat belts were not jammed.

3. For lowering of a back of a back seat, first of all, to lift a pillow and to remove head restraints.

4. Press the button which is built in in a back located on a back and put a back forward

5. The back of a separate design can develop in parts.

6. After installation of a back into place make sure of reliability of its fixing.

In a back of a back seat, under the central armrest the special window allowing to transport in the car lengthy objects, for example, sports equipment like skis can be provided.

You watch that the transported lengthy objects did not prevent to make manipulations with the gear shifting lever. Take care of reliability of fixing of the transported freight.

Removal and installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect cords to a regiment with a car back door. Push the shelf in forward, at the same time lifting both of its forward a corner.

2. In case of need the removed shelf can be laid on the floor of the luggage compartment.

3. At installation of the shelf on the place fill its first line in grooves in the top part of a back of a back seat, then record the shelf, having pressed its corners.

4. In order that the shelf did not interfere with free access to the luggage compartment, its back corners are fastened to a car back door special cords which at installation have to be fixed in points (A) and (In).

5. Remember that the back shelf is not intended for transportation of heavy objects, and also objects which can constitute danger to passengers, flying from the shelf at sharp braking.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Raise a seat pillow, shift it forward and turn in vertical position, having lifted the rear edge up.

2. Having lifted a pillow, remove back head restraints, press the button from above on a back and put the last forward. The back of a separate design can develop in parts.

3. Fill the removed head restraints in the openings (A) which are specially provided for this purpose on the back party of the put pillow.

4. At return of a seat to regular situation track that seat belts were not jammed. Track reliability of fixing of a back: the red indicator on the button (V) should not be visible.

Dismantle of a monoblock back of a back seat

The back is equipped with the compensators serving not to be wounded and to damage the fixing bolts screwed in a floor.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Put a back forward, having transferred it to horizontal position, then pass a core with a diameter of 7 mm throughout openings of hinged connections of a back. Having lifted a rug, give 4 nuts and remove a back.
2. Installation is made upside-down.

Protective grid of the luggage compartment (Station wagon)

The grid provides protection of salon against falling in it badly fixed baggage.

Two regular provisions of a grid are provided (1-C) and (2-B). The top corners of a grid fasten to special ceiling eyes (1) or (2), lower are fixed by means of the adjustable belts fixed on a floor of the car in points (C) or (In).

If the car is used for transportation of a large number of baggage, or for transportation of lengthy freight, the back seat develops and the grid is established in forward regular situation (1-C). If the transported freight holds in standard dimensions of the luggage compartment, need for folding of a seat is absent and a stack is established in back situation (2-B).

The luggage compartment on models with a body like Versatile person from above is closed by the back shelf (2) and the twisted blind (1). These devices can be used in various combinations: the blind can be both is developed, and curtailed, the back shelf at will can be dismantled.

Twisting of a blind happens automatically - enough only slightly to raise its edge for a loop (A) and to hold it in the course of twisting.

For dismantle of the back shelf slightly raise its rear edge and pull it on yourself. Installation is made upside-down.

Two ware boxes supplied with covers are provided in sidewalls of the luggage compartment (3). For opening of a cover of a ware box turn the handle of management 1/4 of a turn.

The left box is intended for storage of small objects, in right the balloon key usually keeps within.

For fixing of freight in the luggage compartment 4 fixing eyes located in points (A) and (In) are provided. Eyes fasten to the floor panel. Two additional eyes (C) are located in interior of the car and serve for fastening of large-size freight, or are used in transit the large volume of baggage.

Besides fixing eyes the belt (3) is provided in the left forward part of the luggage compartment. The belt is intended for keeping of the flat objects driven into the corner.

Speedometer

The arrow indicator of a speedometer (1) allows the driver to control the speed of the movement of the car.

Tachometer

The tachometer fixes the current turns of the engine try not to allow calling of an arrow of the measuring instrument the red range of a scale.

Measuring instruments

In hot weather of the shooter of the measuring instrument of temperature of motive oil (5) can approach a red mark in a scale, however which case do not allow calling it for a mark of 150 °C if such situation happens, it is necessary to dump immediately engine turns, in case of need stop the movement, kill the engine and check oil level.

At moderate ambient temperature the measuring instrument of temperature of cooling liquid (6) can fix temperature to 100 °C. At hot weather the indicator arrow can approach a red mark in a measuring instrument scale. The control lamp at which inclusion it is necessary to stop immediately the movement is built in the dial of the measuring instrument, to kill the engine and to allow it to cool down. Remember that the fan of the cooling system can continue to work even at the switched-off ignition. The overheat of the engine can be caused by various reasons therefore at the first opportunity consult with specialists of car service.

The measuring instrument of fuel consumption (7) allows the driver to control a reserve of the fuel which is available in the fuel tank. If at uniform motion on a smooth horizontal surface on a plain surface the control lamp which is built in the measuring instrument begins to blink, therefore, in a tank there were about 8 l of fuel.

The indicator of a full run and the schedule of the current service / counter of the current distance in kilometers which is built in a speedometer.

At the switched-off ignition the indicator does not function.

The first several seconds after inclusion of ignition of the display of the indicator highlight the run which remained to the car before the next servicing. When this parameter reaches value in 500 km, the indicator begins to blink.

In several seconds after inclusion of ignition the indicator switches to indications of the first counter of the current distance in kilometers which is highlighted in the top half of the screen of the display with a mark in the form of a letter of "a", in the lower half at the same time the full run of the car is highlighted.

It is possible to switch by short pressing the button located in the left bottom corner of the indicator the top half of the display to highlighting of the second counter of the current distance in kilometers with a mark in the form of a letter of "b".

The counter is nullified by long keeping of the button in the pressed state.

Control lamps of indexes of turns

The double indicator (1) allows the driver to control serviceability of functioning of indexes of turns (left and right), and also the alarm system (both arrows begin to blink at the same time).

Control lamps of the left block of a combination of devices

The control lamp (7) informs the driver on approach by the end of a reserve of liquid of washing of glasses/lenses of head headlights (full capacity of the tank makes 6 l).

The position (3) (see the illustration Scheme of an Arrangement and Designation of Control Lamps of a Combination of Devices ) is occupied by a control lamp of wear of front brake shoes. If the lamp begins to join when squeezing a pedal of a foot brake, check a condition of blocks, in case of need make their replacement.

The control lamp of ABS (4) has to light up quickly at inclusion of ignition, then die away, about 2 seconds later. If the lamp continues to burn, or works during the movement, therefore, in the ABS system there are malfunctions and the car should be driven away for diagnostics on car repair shop.

The control lamp of a charge of the accumulator (5) (see in the same place) at the working engine has to be put out, otherwise ask for the help specialists of the nearest car repair shop.

The control lamp of level of motive oil (6) lights up at turn of the ignition key in situation M before start of the engine, dies away in 2 - 3 seconds. If the lamp blinks within 15 seconds, check oil level.

Control lamp of serviceability of functioning of the engine (7), beginning to blink, or lighting up during the movement, signals the driver about identification by system of self-diagnostics of malfunctions in systems of injection of fuel and ignition. The car at the same time should be driven away on car repair shop.

The control lamp of pressure and level of hydraulic liquid (8) lights up at inclusion of ignition and has to die away in several seconds after start of the engine. At operation of a lamp during the movement it is necessary to stop the car and to address to the nearest car repair shop.

The position (9) is taken by a control lamp of an immediate stop of STOP at which operation the movement it is necessary to stop and address to the nearest car repair shop immediately.

At operation in the course of operation of the engine of a control lamp of pressure of engine oil (10) it is necessary to stop the movement and to check oil level. If the lamp continues to burn in spite of the fact that the level of oil is normal, address to the nearest car service.

Control lamps of the top right block of a combination of devices

On a position (11) there is a control lamp of a forward pillow(s) of safety (see above).

The position (12) at the corresponding complete set is taken by a control lamp of side safety cushions (see above).

The control lamp (13) lights up at inclusion of heating of back glass.

The lamp (14) (diesel models) allows the driver to control functioning of system of preheat.

Burning of a control lamp (15) demonstrates that the parking brake is not released.

The lamp (16) reminds the driver of need to be fastened by a seat belt.

The control lamp (17) confirms inclusion of forward fog lights.

The control lamps which are built in the tachometer dial

The indicator (18) located in a middle part of an instrument guard allows to control density of closing of doors. Slightly more to the right in the same block there is a control lamp of an electronic key (19) which is lighting up at inclusion ignition. Switching off of this lamp informs the driver that the control system of the engine is unblocked and start can be carried out.

Control lamps (20) and (21) confirm inclusion of driving/passing beam of head headlights, respectively.

The lamp (22) lights up at inclusion of back fog lamps.

Other control lamps

Besides the listed control lamps, each of the devices of measuring instruments entering a combination is equipped with own emergency light indicator (see below subsection Measuring instruments).

Additional electroaccessories

The scheme of onboard power supply of the car provides a possibility of use of both the serial, and additional electric equipment the Socket on 12 V for connection of additional accessories is located on lateral face of the central console from the forward passenger.

Before installation on the car of additional consumers of the electric power consult with experts company service center of the Citroyon company. Remember that the fact or a way of connection of some accessories (the radio receiver, the alarm system, a radio telephone) can cause failure of the standard onboard equipment! The Citroyon company relieves from itself any responsibility for the malfunctions and expenses connected with installation of the accessories which are not approved by it to application and also at violation of recommendations about installation of the resolved equipment.

Review of the road

Screenwashes (right understeering switch)

The rain sensor installed on a windshield can be included in the package of some models. In this case, at transfer of the lever of the right understeering switch to situation (1), speed of functioning of a screen wiper it will be automatically regulated, depending on intensity of rainfall.

Inclusion and choice of the modes of functioning of forward screen wipers

0 — Screen wipers are switched off

1 — Interval/automatic (models with the rain sensor) the mode of functioning of screen wipers

2 — the Mode of normal functioning of screen wipers

3 — the Mode of the accelerated functioning of screen wipers

4 — the Single mode of functioning of screen wipers


For safety the sensor of a rain does not operate at the switched-off ignition. Do not forget to return the lever of the understeering switch in initial (0) situation do not close nothing the rain sensor located from outer side of a windshield at the level of an internal rear-view mirror.


Before driving the car into a sink, do not forget to switch off screen wipers transfer of the lever of the switch to situation (0).


During frosts be convinced before including screen wipers, make sure that brushes did not freeze to glass.

Washing of a windshield and lenses of head headlights

Inclusion of supply of the washing liquid on wind glass / lenses of head headlights

Supply of the washing liquid on a windshield is carried out by procrastination on itself the lever of the right understeering switch. Forward screen wipers will at the same time three times work. At the corresponding complete set if driving beam is turned on, procrastination of the lever of the switch on itself will lead also to operation of washers of lenses of head headlights with triple operation of brushes of their cleaners.

Cleaner of back glass

Inclusion and choice of the mode of functioning of a back screen wiper

The back screen wiper has only two modes of functioning: triple with supply of the washing liquid and interval which choice is carried out by turn of the ring switch on the end of the lever of the understeering switch. Told means that only three regular position of the ring switch are provided: lower - is switched off, an average - the interval mode of functioning and, at last, top - triple with supply of the washing liquid.

Heating of back glass

Inclusion of heating of back glass

Inclusion of a heater of back glass is carried out by a nazhimaniye the face push-button switch of the right understeering switch. At the corresponding complete set also heating of external rear-view mirrors at the same time joins. The system functions only at the included ignition.

The control lamp of inclusion of heating is built in in the top right block of indicators of a combination of devices (see the illustration Scheme of an Arrangement and Designation of Control Lamps of a Combination of Devices ). Repeated pressing not the button disconnects a heater. In addition the chain of a heater switched on the timer which is carrying out automatic shutdown of system after 12 minutes in order to avoid replanting of the rechargeable battery.

Alarm and lighting fixtures

Alarm system

At turning on of the alarm system all four indexes of turns and their side repeaters, and also the control lamp which is built in in the switch button begin to blink at the same time.

The alarm system functions irrespective of, ignition is included or switched off, and it has to be used only in the situations provided by traffic regulations.


Remember that if the car moves with the switched-on alarm system, indexes of turns will not function!

Adjustment of intensity of illumination of devices

Adjustment of intensity of illumination of devices is carried out by means of installed from below on dashboards, near the lever of adjustment of provision of a steering column, potentiometer.

Horn

Inclusion of a sound signal is carried out by pressing of the horn button which is built in in the central part of a steering wheel.

Alarm system driving beam

To give a signal driving beam to drivers moving towards or ahead of the going vehicles, the short movements pull on yourself the lever of the left understeering switch. Remember that giving of a light signal is possible only at the included ignition.

Indexes of turns

Inclusion of indexes of turns is carried out by means of the lever of the right understeering switch. For inclusion of indexes of the right turn lift the switch lever up, left, respectively, lower it down.
Shutdown of indexes of turn happens automatically upon return of a steering wheel in rectilinear situation, or forcibly, return of the lever to average situation.

Running fires

Control of functioning of running fires is exercised by means of the handle (A) put for the end of the lever of the left understeering switch. The handle has three regular situation. In the lower situation all fires are extinguished. At turn of the handle the second situation joins marker lights. The position of the handle following one after another allows to include near/distant (push the switch lever forward) light of head headlights.

Alarm buzzer "Extinguish fires"

The buzzer works when opening one of car doors at the switched-off ignition, reminding the driver of need of switching off of external lighting. When closing door/inclusion of ignition the buzzer is disconnected.

Fog lighting

Inclusion of the back fog lamps which are included in a basic equipment of the car is carried out by means of the ring switch on the handle of the lever of the left understeering switch (B). The switch has two regular situation: "lamps are switched off" (lower) and "lamps are included" (top). In the right lower block of indicators of a combination of devices the corresponding control lamp lights up (see the illustration Scheme of an Arrangement and Designation of Control Lamps of a Combination of Devices ).


Inclusion of back fog lamps is possible only complete with marker lights, passing or driving beam of head headlights.


If also forward fog lights, management of them are included in the package of the car it is made by means of the same ring switch (C) on the handle of the left understeering switch in this case having three regular situation: "fog lighting is extinguished" (the lower situation), "back fog lamps are included" (average situation) and "all fog lighting fixtures are switched on" (the top situation).

The control lamp of forward fog lights is built in the top right block of indicators of a combination of devices (see the illustration Scheme of an Arrangement and Designation of Control Lamps of a Combination of Devices ).

Inclusion of fog lighting is possible only complete with marker lights, passing or driving beam of head headlights.

Electric drive of window regulators

The switches which are built in in an armrest of a driver's door allow to operate the electric drive of window regulators of both forward doors.

Short pressing a switch key glass of the corresponding door can be lowered a little/is raised. At once on a key otpuskaniya the movement of glass stops. Keeping of the button pressed allows to make full opening / closing of a window.

The chain of the electric drive of window regulators switched on the special safety sensor which is stopping the movement of glass and including it reverse motion at emergence of resistance. Such precautionary measure allows to avoid injuries when jamming by glass of extremities or articles of clothing. At a battery detachment the sensor is switched-off and then has to be entered back into the working condition. For activation of the Antizazhim mode lower completely glass by means of the button of the corresponding keyboard switch, then again lift its several centimeters. A repeated nazhimaniye on a key achieve full closing of a window. Now the required mode will be included. If during rise glass begins to fall, press a key the short movements. During this operation the mode of an anti-clip does not work.

Control of functioning of the electric drive window regulators of back doors is exercised by means of the switches installed on the central console and also by means of both back doors of individual switches which are built in in armrests (see inserts on an illustration).

For additional safety in the car dashboard, to the left of a steering column the blocking push-button switch allowing the driver to neutralize the commands given from individual switches of management of functioning of the electric drive of window regulators of back doors is built in. Leaving the car, do not forget to take a key from the ignition lock.

Rear-view mirrors

Internal rear-view mirror

Rychazhok located from bottom edge of assembly of a mirror allows the driver to transfer a mirror to night situation and to return back it in day. In day situation (1) the rychazhok is not visible; in night (2) - it is visible.

The arm of a mirror is equipped with two hinges allowing to regulate height of provision of assembly.

External rear-view mirrors

The extreme part of a rear-view mirror of a driver's door of the car (designated by a black dotted line) has the aspherical form broadening the field of the side review.
Updating of the provision of an external mirror of a driver's door is carried out manually by means of the special adjusting handle.


The objects which are reflected in an aspherical part of a mirror are in reality closer, than it seems, - this fact should be considered when determining a distance to the vehicles moving behind.


Correction of an electrodriving mirror of a passenger door can be carried out by means of the handle located on the dashboard (to the left of a steering column). On some models both door rear-view mirrors are equipped with the electric drive which switch of management is built in in facing of the internal handle of a driver's door.

The choice of the mirror which is subject to adjustment is carried out by means of a key (1), updating of the provision of assembly is made by means of a turbo switch (2).

Heating of rear-view mirrors (if that is provided) joins along with heating of back glass.

On some models automatic updating of the provision of a rear-view mirror of a passenger door at the movement of the car is provided by a backing. Setting up the provision of such mirror has to be made twice: in the usual mode and, separately, at the switched-on reverse gear.

Adjustment of provision of a steering column

On all models considered in the present manual the possibility of correction of the provision of a steering wheel is provided.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. First of all, adjust the provision of a driver's seat (see above).

2. Unblock a steering column, having moved the lever located under it forward.

3. Adjust the provision of a steering wheel, then record a column, having pulled the lever on themselves against the stop.

4. You remember need to keep the good review of all devices and indicators of the dashboard.


For safety do not carry out adjustment of a steering column and seats during the movement!
