General information

Coupling consists of the frictional (conducted) disk, assembly of a basket with a press disk, the release bearing and the mechanism of switching off of coupling. All components are placed in the big case from aluminum alloy sometimes called by a dome of coupling/transmission and established between blocks of the engine and the transmission. Switching off of coupling is made mechanically, by means of the hummock drive.

The frictional disk is established between a flywheel of the engine and a press disk of assembly of coupling and freely moves along shlits of a main shaft of the transmission.

Assembly of a basket of coupling of a pribolchen to a flywheel. At the working engine and the released coupling pedal rotation of a bent shaft is transmitted through a flywheel to a frictional clutch plate (the last densely nestles on a flywheel assembly of a press disk). As the frictional clutch plate is put on vents of a pin of a main shaft, the last provides rotation transfer to the transmission and, further on driving wheels of the car.

It is necessary to make coupling switching off for the termination of rotation of the transmission. On the models of cars described in the present manual two various designs of the mechanism of switching off of coupling are realized. In the first case the mechanism of usual type with the independent release bearing which is put on a pin of a main shaft of the transmission is used and at operation of the press clutch plate nestling on a diaphragm spring such mechanism is installed on all cars of a model range, the exception is made by only diesel models with a turbo-supercharging and petrol models with the 16-valvate engine of the RFY series where the mechanism of exhaust type is used. In mechanisms of switching off of coupling of exhaust type the release bearing which is built in assembly of a basket of coupling and standing separately from a frictional disk is used.

In mechanisms of usual release type the cover of a driving cable from the transmission is closed up in a basic arm, the core is connected to the coupling switching off fork lever. When squeezing a pedal of coupling the core of a cable is delayed, developing at the same time for the top end of the lever a switching off fork. A fork, being developed, presses the release bearing to petals of a diaphragm spring of a press disk. The spring at the same time is deformed, weakening a clip of a frictional disk to a flywheel.

On models with the exhaust mechanism of switching off of coupling the cable core whereas its cover is connected to the lever of a fork is fixed in an arm on transmission, on the contrary. When squeezing a pedal the fork of switching off forces to rise by the release bearing fixed on a diaphragm spring of a press disk. Deformation of a spring leads to an otpuskaniye of a frictional disk which departs from a flywheel, stopping transfer of rotation of the engine to a main shaft of the transmission.

Correctness of its adjustment gives a guarantee of serviceability of functioning of coupling.
